20-year-old charged in Wareham stabbing; 25-year-old remains in stable condition

Wareham Police have charged 20-year-old Thomas Tibbets with assault and battery after a stabbing Friday afternoon.

Around 3:30 pm, officers were called to 28 Cedar St. and found 25-year-old Noah Martin-Long who was reportedly stabbed twice in his back during an argument with Tibbets.

Tibbets, who was last known to live in East Bridgewater and Wareham, left the scene before officers arrived.

He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon but has not been arrested as of Monday afternoon.

Martin-Long is in stable condition at a Boston hospital.
