A student at the Benjamin Freedman Middle School in Taunton found a bullet inside the building Monday afternoon. Police say it is a "small caliber ammunition".

A sweep of the school was done. Police did not find any other bullets.

The police department and school department are taking this matter very seriously. An officer will be at the middle school Tuesday to ease any student concerns.

Any questions are being channeled through the Superintendents office.

At this time it is unclear where the bullet was located when the student found it, or how it got there.
