Fire breaks out inside the Amtrol building in W. Warwick

Heavy flames broke out inside the Amtrol building on Division road in West Warwick shortly after 4pm Wednesday.

Official say the flames started inside the building near a paint booth that sprays tanks, the flames quickly spread to the roof but did not cause severe damage.

According to the fire department the area where flames broke out did sustain a lot of water damage due to the sprinkler system and fire department. The Amtrol maintenance are there tonight cleaning-up.

It took firefighters roughly half hour to put out the flames, mutual aid was called to the scene.

The fire remains under investigation, no one was injured.
