Suspect in brutal murder ordered held without bail

A man accused of murdering a 20–year–old woman and leaving her body in a Cranston garage will be held without bail.

32–year–old James Adams pleaded not guilty during his arraigned today for the murder of Mary Grier of Dorchester, Mass. He was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month.

Prosecutors say Adams also sexually assaulted two other women and robbed them .. and physically assaulted a third woman using a firearm.

Adams has been held at the ACI since July of 2012 as a probation violator.. He was convicted of first degree sexual assault in 2005.
