Residents of Cynthia Ave in Tiverton are upset the town won't plow their street.

"Pretty much like driving on the moon, we got craters, we got craters that go from one side of the road to the other," said Mike Normandin, resident.

The road is covered in snow and ice from this weekend's storm.

"People won't come down here, my family, friends don't wanna drive down the road to see me," said Normandin.

Neither will the town, which sent a letter to homeowners earlier this month saying the road needs to be fixed because the plows can't handle the conditions.

"They've always plowed it, we are on the plow list and they don't wanna plow it," said Shane Gendreau, resident.

Homeowners say they have street lights, get trash picked up and are considered a public way.

"They've maintained it all these years and now they are neglecting that they have anything to do with this road," said Gendreau.

Efforts to reach the DWP Sunday were unsuccessful.

Town Council President Edward Roderick says the issue will be on the agenda for Thursday's Council Meeting.
