Bronco the kitten is recovering well after having surgery to amputate his tail.

The 3-month-old kitten was found Friday night in the parking lot of Burrillville Middle School.

The skin on his tail was so badly damaged it had to be amputated. He was brought into Northern Rhode Island Animal Hospital for surgery.

Today, he is at the Burrillville Animal Shelter doing well, in high spirits as he waits for a full recovery so he can go home to the family that adopted him.
