Those looking to take the GED
Test after the New Year will see some changes.
The 2002 Series GED Test
expires the last day of 2013 and the next-generation test will be launched on
the 1st of the new year.
Any incomplete scores will
also expire – meaning test-takers who passed only some of the test will have to

changes for test-takers is pricing – the test will now cost $120 as compared to
$55 for the 2002 Series pencil-and-paper test.
Also, the test will only be
delivered electronically, with no written option.
Content-wise, the new test
will be aligned with Common Core standards and other prevailing state
