The communications director for the Rhode Island Republican Party is joining the Ken Block for Governor Campaign.
The campaign announced Monday that Michael Napolitano, the former spokesperson for John Robitaille's 2010 gubernatorial campaign will join the team as director of operations.
Napolitano will continue as the spokesperson for the RIGOP, however, Chairman Mark Smiley said they will find a non-partial individual to handle matters even "remotely" involving the Governor's campaign. Napolitano is not paid for his work with the RIGOP.
"Ken Block has been a crusader on everything from eliminating the Master Lever to the 38 Studios disaster to exposing waste and fraud in our state's Medicaid and food stamp programs," said Napolitano.
Ken Block's Campaign Manager Jeff Britt said that Napolitano is joining the campaign on as an unsalaried staff member at this time.
Napolitano will help the campaign with communications and efforts to build infrastructure within the Republican Party.
"With key Republican leaders like Tony Bucci heading up fundraising and Mike Napolitano organizing critical grassroots operations, the momentum of our campaign is clearly accelerating," said Block.
