Old Lyme, Conn.- A 58-year-old woman has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Old Lyme.
Connecticut State Police say Nidia Vargas of New Haven was a passenger in a disabled car that was struck by a box truck on I-95 south on the Baldwin Bridge around 11:30 a.m. Monday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, 34-year-old Evelyn Rivera, and the truck driver, 23-year-old Dean Cambio of Warwick, R.I., were treated at area hospitals and later released. The drivers of two other vehicles involved in the accident were not injured.
