Students are making a pledge to cut down on distractions, "No Texts, No Wrecks."
Students at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick are just the latest group of teens to make the pledge.
It's part of the "It Can Wait" campaign.
The students took part in a driving simulator that showed the dangers of distracted driving and then viewed a powerful documentary on the topic.
"It was really moving. It was a really moving video. It showed the point of view from the family, and I think that's a point of view you really need to keep in mind," said student Dane Granja.
Approximately 450 students signed the pledge to not text while driving.
ABC 6 and Courtesy Auto Group have joined forces to get the word out about "No Texts, No Wrecks."
You can take the pledge, too.
Each month, one person who likes us on our "no text no wrecks" Facebook page will be awarded gift certificates to area attractions!
