A long-time summer tradition is coming back to Rhode Island this May.

The Rhode Island National Guard announced it will be hosting the Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show once again, coming up May 17-18 2014 at Quonset Air National Guard Base.

Headliners will include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Black Daggers Jump Team, Sean D. Tucker, the Flash Fire Jet Truck, and many more.

"Since 1991, the Rhode Island National Guard has participated in the premier Open House / Air Show in the northeast.  On behalf of the outstanding men and women of the RI Guard, I am extremely pleased to announce the return of this well-attended event, showcasing our organization and all of the dedicated people who make it happen," said Maj. Gen. Kevin R. McBride, the Adjutant General and Commanding General of the Rhode Island National Guard.

The Air Show was canceled last year due to Federal budget cuts.
