Officials seek public’s assistance in attempted robbery

Officials in West Warwick are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted for attempted robbery at the Louise's liquor store on Main Street.

The incident took place on December 18th at approximately 8:58pm, the male suspect was wearing black sweat pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a white cloth covering his face.

Officials say he entered the liquor store with what appeared to have been a weapon wrapped in a cloth in his hand.

He approached the cash register while pointing the weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The female clerk who was in the back room came out and the suspect fled the scene.
