Fall River Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Bedford Street where occupants of one of the vehicle fled the accident scene on foot, leaving the driver in the other vehicle with serious injuries.

The incident happened around 10: 13 p.m. on Saturday night when a vehicle with an unknown driver entered the intersection at Albion Road and Bedford Street. The vehicle traveling on Albion Road then struck a vehicle being driven by 25-year-old Jonathan Perry of Tiverton. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles colliding with a parked vehicle.

The three to four occupants of one of the vehicles then took off from the accident scene on foot. Police searched the area but did not find the suspects. Investigators have identified the owner of the vehicle and are trying to make contact.

Perry was injured in the crash and is currently at Rhode Island Hospital in fair condition.
