A 5th grader at A.F. Maloney School in Blackstone, Mass. got a special surprise at school on Friday.

Intelligence specialist Stephen Sinko was deployed to a naval base in Djibouti, Africa, and was expected to stay there until June of 2014, when all of a sudden got the great news that he'd be coming home early.

He and his wife immediately organized a surprise visit for their daughter, Katherine, at her school.

Teachers and staff jumped onboard with the plan, and during an assembly on Friday, Katherine got up on stage and turned around to see her dad standing in the doorway.
