Two people have been arrested and charged after an investigation into human trafficking of minors for sex.
Olivia Lara, 38, is charged with 3 counts of Trafficking in Persons Under the Age of 18 for Sexual Servitude and 3 counts of Deriving Support from a Minor Prostitute.
Feliciano Ramirez, 30, was also arraigned and charged with Rape of Child and Sex for a Fee. They were arraigned this morning in Fall River District Court.
Both Lara and Ramirez pleaded not guilty at the arraignment. Bail was set at $100,000 cash for Lara and at $25,000 cash for Ramirez. They are due back in Fall River District Court on February 12 for a probable cause hearing.
After a tip back in December, police were able to identify that Lara, several minor victims, and adult male customers were allegedly involved in a human trafficking scheme.
Police believe Lara would meet with adult male patrons inside of a Fall River bar and arrange for them to have sex for a fee with the minor victims
Authorities allege that Ramirez was one of the male customers who engaged in sexual acts with one of the minor victims in his vehicle in exchange for payment.
