A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for RI and much of SE MA this afternoon until 1 PM tomorrow afternoon. A Blizzard Warning has been issued for the SE MA coastline, the Cape and the Islands starting at 7 PM this evening and lasting through 1 PM tomorrow.
Snow will continue to move in this afternoon. It will be very cold and the snow will be dry and fluffy and will come down heavy tonight. Low visibility can be expected with blowing and drifting snow. Winds will be gusting up to 45 MPH inland and potentially up to 55 MPH for coastal areas. Snow will end tomorrow morning for RI, later for coastal MA.
As for accumulations, much of inland RI will pick up anywhere from 5-9". Coastal RI and SE MA is looking at 9-12" with isolated higher amounts for areas on the Cape.
Bitter cold weather will be around through the end of the week.
