Warwick Police are releasing new information about the murder of John "Jack" Fay. Fay was killed while jogging on the bike path at Warwick City Park in May 2013.

Police recovered a sledge hammer near the scene of the crime and are looking for information from anyone who may recognize it.

The sledge hammer is unique, in that it has a handle which has been custom made and the shape of the head of the hammer is unique as well. The sledge hammer is a 2.5lb sledge, 10" in length with a distinctive handle which may have had red on it at one time.

Police believe that this sledge hammer is an old tool that might have been taken from someone's home or toolbox.

Police are asking that anyone who may have information regarding the hammer or any other information on this case to call Warwick Detective Sergeant Mark Canning at 401-468-4236 or the anonymous TIP line at 401-732-TIPS (401-732-8477).
