In Tuesday afternoon's State of the Union address, President Obama laid out a few ideas about what his final 3 years in office will look like.
The President only proposed a modest agenda, no major legislation and no sweeping change. The President did say that he'll take action even if it means doing it without congress saying: "Wherever and whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, that's what I'm going to do"
The President also called for the restoration benefits for the long–term unemployment expanding job training programs and directed the treasury to help American workers create retirement savings accounts.
There were some familiar faces sitting alongside the First lady during the President's
State of the Union speech. Two are connected to the Boston marathon bombing, Carlos
Arredondo and Jeff Bauman. They were guests of First lady Michelle Obama also in the first lady's box openly gay former NBA player and one–time Celtic, Jason Collins
