A man accused of shooting a New Bedford Police Officer will face a judge for a dangerousness hearing today.
20-year-old Nathan Manuel-Jackson is charged with assault with intent to murder after he allegedly shot Detective Jonathan Lagoa on January 24 when police were attempting to serve a search warrant. Lagoa suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Jackson is currently being held without bail. Another man 34-year-old Thomas Scott of Mattapan was also charged as an accessory.
