Buddy Cianci kept it open ended today on whether he would run for mayor of Providence.
Recently diagnosed with colon cancer, former Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci returned to the airwaves at ABC6 on Monday where he hosts a daily political segment. He spoke about his optimism in over-coming his illness and about his possible political future.
In a live in-studio interview with morning anchor Doreen Scanlon, Cianci said that he will make a decision in regards to whether he will run for mayor of Providence in the up-coming weeks.
"All the options are on the table but I haven't made a decision yet," said Cianci.
When it came to his diagnosis, Cianci said that he will have to undergo 7 chemo therapy treatments over the next fourteen weeks, noting he is thankful that he lives in Providence because of the top-notch medical care available.
