The Foxboro teen who died of a rare aging disorder is being remembered by his high school classmates.
One thousand paper cranes have been hung just outside the school's cafeteria to honor the memory of 17–year old junior Sam Berns who died from Progeria.
"I knew Sam pretty well and he just loved everything like this, he loved anything beautiful and he was always so positive and happy, I know he'd love it," said Foxboro high school senior Patricia Elba.
Japanese tradition states that if you hang a thousand cranes and make a wish that wish will be granted at Foxboro High School.
The students are hoping to grant Sam's last wish a cure for Progeria.
