Millions of pound of beef have been recalled after the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said the meat was processed from "diseased and unsound animals" that were not properly inspected.
8.7 million pounds of beef from the Rancho Feeding Corporations had currently been recalled. In January a little more than 40,000 pounds of the company's products were recalled.
So far there have been no reported illnesses from these products. The product where shipped out of distribution centers in California, Texas, Illinois, and Florida.
All of the products were shipped between Jan. 1 to Jan. 7. Each package have EST. 527 in the USDA mark of inspection and have a case number ending in 3 or 4.
