A history teacher at the Lincoln middle school is charged with driving under the influence.
Officials say 51-year old Christine Clarke struck a mailbox and crashed into a snow bank Tuesday afternoon on her way home from school.
When officials arrived to the scene of the accident on New river road, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol on Clarke.
Two empty bottles of Vodka along with a coffee cup that smelled like it contained alcohol were found in the front seat of her vehicle.
Clarke was taken into custody and officials say she refused a breathalyzer test; she is due to appear in District court later this month.
