A North Providence man accused of stabbing his girlfriend and attempting to kill her was ordered held without bail on Friday in Kent County Superior Court.

40-year-old Frank Green of Alexander Street allegedly stabbed his 39-year-old girlfriend in the neck on Wednesday night then fled the scene. He turned himself into police on Thursday.

On Feb. 9, Green was arrested for a domestic disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and released. Green was ordered to have no-contact with his girlfriend.

The victim is currently in the hospital in stable condition.

Green is scheduled to appear in court again on April 14.
