Mansfield Fire and Police crews were on scene of a small plane crash at Mansfield Airport Saturday morning.
Around 9:30 a.m., a student pilot who was practicing landings at the airport came in too low, and the plane's wheels hit a snow bank on the end of the runway.
That hit damaged the landing gear, which then snapped. The plane leaned on its right wing tip and skidded for about 200 yards down the runway.
The pilot walked away uninjured, but cost an estimated $45,000 in damages to the plane.
The FAA is continuing the investigation.
