PROVIDENCE, RI- Snow in Providence is coming down so hard, there's nearly zero-mile visibility and it's not that fluffy kind, it's the thick, heavy snow that's creating a bit of an unpleasant Saturday evening.

Just a few hours ago, the parking lot was packed at the Whole Foods located on North Main Street. People were getting food and other items to last throughout the night. Many got out early to avoid the heavier snow which is expected to reach up to 8-inches in some parts of southern New England. Although this is nothing new, and we've seen worst conditions, many are still concerned about safety

Security officer, Donald Wiitala said, "Well a lot of snow, people slipping like right there. It's really dangerous out here right now cause the roads haven't really been treated yet. So ah, parking lot's really slippery and the areas around here."

"Yeah, just people sliding and not being able to stop.  And, you know, just want to get home and be safe," said."   Linda Perri.
