NORTH SMITHFIELD- A North Smithfield student is turning her senior project into a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

18–year old Angela Pasquariello teamed up with Zeke Stringer Jewelry to create silver and gold bangles.

20–percent of the proceeds are going to a local MDA.

Angela was inspired after meeting another student suffering from the disease. She came up with the shooting star design that has a special meaning.

"A shooting star is something that you wish on, so someone wishing on a shooting star to help someone else. Once I heard about the disease, I was really touched because it's such a horrible disease that has no cure, and people have no control of it happening to them," said Pasquariello.

Angela is also creating a necklace version of this design. Proceeds from that will also go to the MDA.
