A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Providence and for much of SNE beginning 7AM Tuesday morning and lasting until 8PM Tuesday evening. Providence can expect a couple inches of wet snow, with some rain mixing in at times, especially in coastal areas.
Forecast... Snow will arrive in Providence from the west on Tuesday after 8am and will accumulate 2 to 4 inches by 6pm, with as much as 6 inches possible north and west of Providence, and an inch or two along the immediate coast of RI and SE MA. Expect highs in the mid to upper 30s, with increasing SE winds at 10-15 mph. The storm will quickly exit the region after 7pm Tuesday evening, as winds become westerly at 10-15 mph, before diminishing overnight. Lows will be in the mid 20s.
Milder weather moves in on Wednesday, with a good chance of afternoon showers and highs in the lower to mid 40s. Even milder Thursday with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 40s.
