EAST PROVIDENCE, RI- Over 200 police cruisers, a dozen motorcycles, and 50 fire engines will descend on Burrilliville, Thursday for 6-year-old Tyler Seddon's birthday.

East Providence Fire Chief, Oscar Elmasian said, "We're hoping that Tyler realizes that he's not alone with this. Everyone's rallying for him. Outside of being a fire fighter or a police officer, we're parents."

These first responders are going above and beyond for the little guy battling leukemia for the second time.

"Every child is innocent. This shouldn't happen to a child and he recognizes the police department and the fire department, and the fire fighters and military as his hero and we're recognizing him as our hero," said East Providence Police officer, Craig Sroka.

What started out as a few birthday cards from his heroes, has turned into a full fledge birthday bash.

Tyler will receive an honor that most police officers never get to experience during their entire career: being sworn in as Police Chief.
