The Rhode Island health department says its hotline has gotten 19 calls about a possible measles outbreak in our area.

The department told patients Monday, that a man with measles symptoms was treated at Roger Williams Medical Center on February 25 for a sore throat and fever. On February 28 that person developed a rash and was seen at a CVS Minute Clinic in North Attleboro. He was then referred to the Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Department, where he was until early on March 1st.

It hasn't been confirmed whether or not he had measles. Symptoms like a cough, fever, runny nose, and irritated eyes are all common with measles.

If you were at any of these locations during those days, the Health Department is asking you to call their hotline, 401-222-8022.
