General Treasurer Gina Raimondo has a slight lead in the latest Taubman Center Poll at Brown University, but the margin of error puts her in a statistical tie with Mayor Angel Taveras.

In the poll, 29 percent support Raimondo; 26 percent Taveras; 10 percent for Clay Pell; and Todd Giroux did not poll.

"I think it's very much still up for grabs," said Professor Marion Orr from the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University.

On the Republican side, it's pretty much a dead heat with Ken Block at 36 percent and Mayor Allan Fung at 31 percent - again the 10–point margin of error, makes it a tie.

"I think people are listening, trying to listen to hear what these candidates are going to do to bring jobs and to rejuvenate our slow economy," said Professor Orr.

ABC6 Chief Political Reporter Mark Curtis said, "The best news for all of the candidates, there are still 5 months until the primary. That's plenty of time to get people to change their minds, or make up their minds."

And the polls tell us that one–third of Democrats and one–third of Republicans are still undecided.

People who've yet to choose a candidate are easy to find.

"I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm checking on all the different people who are running and see what they have to offer," said one voter.

"I haven't made up my mind yet cause they're not doing nothing anyway," said another voter.

"Well my choice is find of difficult right now. I just wants somebody that's going to do something for us," said a third voter.

So it could get very competitive.

"Money is going to matter in the next five months. Who is going to spend money on the television ads and the radio ads to push these undecided voters," said Dr. Marion Orr.

Right now, Professor Orr calls the race for Governor, a toss–up.
