A man under investigation after three pigs and a cow were found frozen to death on his South Kingstown farm will serve 11 months probation and give up all the animals remaining on his farm.

Rusty Koza was charged with animal cruelty and neglect after animals left outside in freezing conditions in January froze to death. One pig and two cows survived. The cows were cared for at URI and the RISPCA treated the pig named Stanley before finding him a home.

Koza will serve 11 months probation and an 11 months suspended sentence. Several chickens and a goat were removed from his property. The goat is being sent to the RISPCA in order to find a new home.
