Two suspicious backpacks dropped near the Boston Marathon finish line were found just hours after the anniversary tribute.

The area was immediately evacuated and closed off and the bomb squad called in.

A suspect was taken into custody soon after the backpacks were discovered.

At a press conference Tuesday night Boston Police said that a rice cooker was found inside of one of the bags. They would not say what was found in the other.

Both backpacks were detonated by police as a precaution in the hours after they were discovered.

The suspect will be charged with possession of a hoax device, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Video of a man seen in all black, with a long vail yelling Boston strong near the finish line was taken shortly before the backpacks were found.
