A New Bedford teacher could face disciplinary action today after a student threw a chair at her and the whole incident was caught on camera.

Joanne Maura will meet with the headmaster of New Bedford High School today at 3p.m.

The incident, which happened at the end of March, involved a student irate that Maura confiscated his cell phone throwing a chair at the teacher.

That student, 18-year-old Kehmar Rosselus, was expelled from the school only after the video was posted online and went viral. He now faces criminal charges.

Maura now faces disciplinary action because the school says she failed to properly report the incident.
