The owner of Gio's Market on Chalkstone Ave in Providence was robbed at gun point Wednesday morning.
Giovany Jimenez says he was surprised by a robber who put a gun to his head and forced him to the ground.
"I see a regular customer walking around the freezer; I don't think nothing was gonna happen. He says you don't give me the money I'll kill you," said Jimenez.
He could feel the gun on his head and hear the robber cock the weapon.
"I thought it was the end for me. Thank God nothing happened you know," said Jimenez.
The man got away with about $9,000 in cash. Jimenez says he had that much money because the store also has a wire transfer service.
This is the second time he's been robbed, but vows to keep the store open.
"Tomorrow I gotta open again, keep working, that's what I know to do working," said Jimenez.
He hopes someone in the neighborhood saw something calls police.
