Ten people were transported to the hospital after an accident on Route 4 northbound near exit 6 in East Greenwich.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning a van carrying six disabled adults and two staff members from a group home was struck by a passenger vehicle causing it to strike a guardrail and do a 180 on the highway.
One of the passengers of the van suffered a head laceration from shattered glass and transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The other people in the van were also transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
The driver of the other vehicle and the infant passenger were also transported to the hospital out of precaution.
