Three local real estate investors have signed an agreement with Newport Grand Slot Parlor to help the slot parlor push for table games.

Joe Paolino, Paul Roiff, and Peter de Savary are working with the Newport City Council and the Rhode Island General Assembly to get a referendum on the 2014 ballot to ask voters for casino gambling in Newport.

Voters in Newport rejected a referendum on the ballot in 2012 to expand the slot parlor into a full casino. The measure passed statewide but could not be passed without the approval of Newport voters.

The three investors have released a sketch of what they hope Newport Grand will look like if expanded into a full scale casino.
