The carabineer clamp that snapped during Sunday’s circus performance has been handed over to the Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

OSHA is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a horrific accident during Sunday’s performance of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Legends that left eight acrobats hospitalized.

The acrobats were performing a stunt called the hair hang when the scaffolding came crashing down.

Four of the performers are currently in serious condition and four are in good condition.
