Police are trying to identify a suspect responsible for shooting a 16 month old German Sheppard mix in the head in Warren.

On May 6 a resident on Barton Avenue called police to say his dog had been shot on Barton Avenue around 2 p.m. The dog is expected to survive and has been released back to the owner.

The Rhode Island Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is currently offering a $750 reward for anyone with information leading to the identification of the suspect or suspects.
