QUONSET - Pilots for this year's air show are gearing up for takeoff. This will be their first showcase since last year's was canceled due to the sequester.

"So we're really excited to be back in town," said aerobatic pilot Jeff Boerboon. He's the 2010 National Aerobatic Champion, and the operator of the Screaming Sasquatch - a one of a kind 1929 biplane with a jet engine.

It's debuting at the air show this weekend and Jeff hopes its appearance will show Rhode Island the wonder of flight.

"You know when you're driving around in your car you're restricted to all these rules, in the air, it really is just complete freedom, and it's like magic," he said.

The air show is set to run Saturday and Sunday rain or shine barring any major storms. For more information visit http://www.riairshow.org/.
