Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been indicted in a double homicide in the city of Boston in July of 2012.

Hernandez is believed to be the trigger man in the shooting deaths of Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado. The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said Hernandez met the victims for the first time that evening at the nightclub "Cure." After leaving the club, the District Attorney Daniel Conley says Hernandez followed the men in a silver SUV driven by an associate. According to Conley, Hernandez's vehicle pulled up alongside the victim's vehicle and Hernandez allegedly opened fire. The were five men in the vehilce. Three were shot, two fatally. The others suffered non-lifethreatening injuries.

Hernandez has already been indicted and charged in the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in June of 2013.

Hernandez's cousin Tanya Singleton was also indicted for criminal contempt of court as a result of the investigation into the murders. Singleton is also charged in the Llyod murder as an accessory after the fact and for criminal contempt of court.
