A 22-year-old woman is recovering after falling down an elevator shaft at Fenway Park.

The Boston Fire Department tweeted the incident around 11:15 Friday night.

Officials say the 4th floor elevator shaft doors somehow opened, and the woman fell in, landing on the elevator roof.

The elevator stopped at the 2nd floor and was shut off as firefighters went through the roof hatch to rescue the victim.

She was sent to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.

Boston Police and the state elevator inspector were called to investigate.

There is no word on the victim's condition at this time.
