More than a half dozen people were taken into custody after a fight broke out inside of the Providence District Courthouse this afternoon.

Police say 9 people were taken into custody, though likely only 2 or 3 of them will be charged.

This all stemming after 18 year old Joseph Taylor turned himself in to police this morning--- a warrant had been issued for his arrest following the murder of Devon Taylor and the shooting of his younger sister Destiny last week.

Prior to Joseph Taylor's arraignment is when the fight broke out and it's not clear at this time who exactly was involved.

The court room was cleared and there was very heavy police activity outside. Eventually the arraignment did happen.

Joseph Taylor is being held without bail on the murder charge he is due back in court next month.
