Attleboro Police have arrested a man on assault charges after an incident at a house party Saturday.

Police say they responded to a fight at 238 South Main St. just after midnight Saturday morning. When they arrived, neighbors said 32-year-old Jonathan Silveira, one of the apartment residents, was in a fight and could be injured inside.

When officers went into the apartment, Silveira fled out the back door. Police say the apartment was in disarray and there were alcohol bottles strewn about.

Police say they then found teenagers who were involved in the fight who told officers Silveira bought the alcohol for them, exposed himself, and inappropriately touched one of the teenage girls. Another teenager said Silveira had done the same a couple of days before.

Police later found Silveira asleep at a neighbor’s apartment that he broke into. He was treated for injuries from jumping out of his second floor deck.

Silveira will be arraigned Tuesday on charges including two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, open and gross lewdness, and selling alcohol to a person under 21.
