An injured woman was rescued from a ledge within Freetown State Forest Tuesday afternoon. Police say Hailey Meiggs, 20, was spray painting the vertical side of the ledge when she lost her footing and fell nearly 70 feet right above water.

The Bristol County Fire Control's Technical Rescue Team was called into help. Crews had to repel to Meiggs' location within the quarry. She was treated and then transferred to a boat waiting in the water.

She was taken by Freetown Fire Department ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital.
