National Grid customers in West Warwick were left in the dark for a short period of time Thursday morning after an adult Canadian goose flew into power lines on Tiogue Avenue.

When the goose struck the power line it caused a short causing a piece of equipment similar to a circuit breaker to open. 2,533 customers were temporarily without power between 8:15 and 9:35 a.m.

All power has been restored to the area.
