BURRILLVILLE, RI- Two parents are accused of hosting an underage drinking party for their daughter over the weekend.

It was an after-prom party for students who attend Mt. Saint Charles Academy.

Burrillville police say around 12:45 Saturday morning, they went to a home located on Joslin Road after receiving complaints of loud music.

“There was some sort of event going on. As they exited the vehicle, they started to see kids running into the woods and they're yelling cops," said Major Lareto Guglietta.

The home is located down a private driveway in a heavily wooded area. Police say when they arrived two teens were unconscious.

Out of the estimated 60 people on the property, police were able to gather 40. Those over 18–who passed the breathalyzer were allowed to leave. The others had to be picked up by their parents.

Guglietta said, "They talked to the owners of the residence. The parents were on the scene and after investigation, the parents were arrested.

Brian and Linda Cardon were arrested for providing alcohol for minors.

Police say most of the parents had no idea their kids were at the party.

Police also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia throughout the back yard.

The Cardons have been released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

They'll face a judge on June 10th.
