The Dartmouth High School senior who missed her final term walked with her class during graduation Sunday. Ashlyn Conde was originally told she wouldn't be able to walk with classmates because she was short of credits.

Conde spent most of May at Children's Hospital in Boston recovering from a near–fatal allergic reaction, and a rare disease called Stevens Johnson Syndrome. That left her 4 credits short of graduation requirements according to school policy.

But an outpouring of support, thousands of tweets, and a student petition showed how many people were standing 'Ashlyn Strong.'

"It's just amazing, like, how many people care for me that I didn't know before," said the teen.

Conde will have to make up her missing credits with a tutor this summer, and could receive her diploma before the year is through.
