South Kingstown Police are investigating an underage drinking party that happened Wednesday evening.

Police responded to a house on White Pond Rd. just before midnight for an EMS call. They found a 20-year-old girl who suffered a head injury after falling down a flight of stairs. She was sent to South County Hospital.

Police found several open containers of alcohol in the barn at the property.

Ten minors were found by police, ranging in age from 18-20 years old.

Thomas McDonald, 19, who lives at the home, was arrested and charged under the social host law. He will be in court later this month.

McDonald told officers he paid a random man outside of O’Neill’s package Store in Narragansett to buy him $60 worth of alcohol.

South Kingstown Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident and ask anyone with information to call the Detective Division at 401-783-3321.
