Arrest made in Frosty Freeze breaking and entering

The suspect in the breaking and entering of Frosty Freeze on East Main Road turned himself in to the 2nd Division District Court in Newport today.

The suspect, Patrick McElroy, of Fall River, MA, was wanted by Middletown Police on a felony charge of Breaking and Entering into a Place of Business with Felonious Intent.

On April 9th, 2014, McElroy entered Frosty Freeze through a ground floor window equipped with a crowbar. He stole a large amount of money from the business before fleeing the scene. He was captured on the video surveillance system.

McElroy turned himself in upon learning of the warrant for his arrest.

The Middletown Police Detective Division and the Portsmouth Police Department developed investigative leads and eventually identified McElroy.

He was processed by Middletown Police and held until his arraignment.
